Kharge seeks time from Modi to explain Congress ‘Nyay Patra’
In the letter, the Congress president pointed out to the prime minister that he was being “misinformed” about things that are not even written in the party’s manifesto.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Wednesday attend the inauguration of the birth centenary celebrations of Sangh Parivar veteran Nanaji Deshmukh on his birth anniversary.
Modi will attend the event at IARI at Pusa in New Delhi and visit an exhibition on the theme “technology and rural life” and will also interact with rural innovators, an official statement said.
He will release a commemorative postage stamp on Nanaji Deshmukh and launch a portal for coordination and monitoring of development works at the district level.

He will also launch the Gram Samvad App which will carry information on the progress of rural development works at the Gram Panchayat level. He will then inaugurate a Plant Phenomics Facility of IARI.
The Prime Minister will address an audience of about 10,000 people, drawn from Self Help Groups, Panchayats, water conservation innovators, and beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana via video conferencing.
Born in Kadoli in Maharashtra’s Parbhani district on 11 October, 1916, Nanaji Deshmukh founded the Deendayal Research Institute and was credited with exemplary work in education, health and rural self-reliance.
While he played a crucial role in the social restructuring of over 500 villages, the RSS veteran also established the country’s first rural university — Chitrakoot Gramodya Vishwavidyalaya.
The former Rajya Sabha member passed away on 27 February, 2010 at the age of 94.
