The much-discussed Patna coaching controversy took a fresh turn on Friday, with sources claiming that an FIR has been filed against Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, the director of Khan Global Studies, at Kadamkuan Police Station in Patna. However, there has been no official confirmation from the police.

Sources said the FIR is based on the statements of two security guards of Khan Global Studies who were arrested on Thursday. The FIR alleges that the guards opened fire on Khan Sir’s instructions and in his presence. Police invoked provisions related to firing and the Arms Act in the case. However, the police have not yet issued an official statement, specifically regarding the FIR. Officials said the investigation is ongoing and that evidence is being evaluated before any further action is taken.

Following a high-level review meeting, Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma addressed the media on Friday but did not comment directly on questions related to the FIR.

“The facts that have emerged during the investigation so far have already been shared with you. The weapons have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination. The investigation is still underway, and any further findings will be communicated,” Sharma said.

Sources said Khan Sir has been accused of instructing the guards to open fire. If he fails to receive legal relief, such as anticipatory bail or a stay on arrest, he will be arrested tonight.

Meanwhile, the Patna Police have appealed to students and the general public not to pay attention to rumours or misleading information and not to be influenced by anyone. A thorough investigation into all aspects of the case is being conducted, and legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
