Patanjali Yogpeeth marked 32nd Sanyas Diwas of its founder Ramdev on the auspicious day of Ram Navami. The ceremony took place at Yog Bhavan auditorium in Patanjali Yogpeeth-II in Haridwar.

Saints, scholars, educators, and members of the Patanjali family filled the auditorium creating an atmosphere of devotion and reflection. The organisers described the day as a rare alignment of spiritual milestones.

Addressing the audience, Ramdev called it a moment of “deep spiritual alignment and national pride”. He noted that three sacred occasions were being celebrated together.

Looking back at the past 32 years, Ramdev spoke about the organisation’s journey. He highlighted its work in education, healthcare, research, agriculture, industry, employment generation, environmental protection, character building, and nation-building.

According to him, Patanjali’s initiatives have expanded widely, reaching more than 600 districts, 5,000 tehsils, over 35 lakh villages, and nearly 200 countries across the world.

He also stressed the importance of values-based education. Formal learning alone, he said, is not enough to shape future. He explained that Patanjali is working to create system rooted in Indian culture, ethics, Sanatan principles aimed at nurturing leadership that can guide the world.

Speaking at the event, Acharya Balkrishna reflected on the relevance of the ideals of Lord Rama in today’s society. He said that Rama’s dignity, inclusiveness, and moral strength are deeply needed in the modern world. Balkrishna described Ramdev as someone who works tirelessly to uphold these values. He also called himself fortunate to be part of what he described as a larger mission.

The event saw participation from sanyasis of the Patanjali Sanyas Ashram, institutional heads, officials, educators, and students connected to various Patanjali initiatives.

On social media, Balkrishna shared a message describing his long association with Ramdev from their Gurukul friendship to their journey in national service. He wrote that Ram Navami is not only a festival of devotion but also a day of dedication, commitment, and achievement, as it marks the Sanyas Diwas of Patanjali’s saints.
