Patanjali Foods Limited has been awarded the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Tier-2 certificate by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the Ministry of Finance – Indian Customs.
The certification, considered one of the most prestigious in global trade, recognizes the highest standards of honesty, transparency, quality, and supply chain security.
Only a select group of Indian companies hold this distinction, and in the FMCG sector, very few enjoy this status. With this recognition, Patanjali joins the league of India’s leading corporates.
The AEO Tier-2 status entitles the company to more than 28 international trade benefits, including duty deferred payment, bank guarantee waiver, direct port delivery (DPD), and 24×7 customs clearance facilities.
Speaking on the development Swami Ramdev, co-founder of Patanjali, said, ”Today is a day of pride not only for the Patanjali family but for every Indian. This certificate further strengthens our resolve to build the nation and take ‘Make in India’ to the global summit.”
Acharya Balkrishna, Managing Director of Patanjali Foods, added, “This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our employees and consumers. It will strengthen India’s exports, promote Ayurveda and indigenous products globally, and help establish Patanjali among the world’s top FMCG brands.”
Industry experts believe the recognition will not only enhance Patanjali’s export competitiveness but also reinforce its role in promoting India’s economic self-reliance and Swadeshi ethos on the global stage.
