Pak-backed narco-terrorism module busted in Jammu

In a major blow to Pakistan backed narco-terrorism in J&K and Punjab, 7 kg heroine, about Rs 2 crore in cash and arms and ammunition was on Friday recovered from the house of a notorious drug peddler in the Poonch district of Jammu.

The peddler’s house is just near the Line of Control (LOC) and he was involved in narco-terrorism, police said.

Additional DGP Jammu, Mukesh Singh said that a

pistol with a magzine , 10 rounds along with seven rounds of SLR have also been recovered.

The ADGP identified the peddler as Rafi Dhana, alias Rafi Lala.

Rafi Dhana has been detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA). He resides  close to the LOC in Poonch.

“Today on  some inputs, a Poonch police team led by Inspector Sunil and components of NCA and CRPF searched the house of Rafi.

The searches are still going on in presence of the magistrate and prominent citizens.

The Nexus of this module with Punjab based narcotics smugglers is being investigated. A case has been registered at Police station Mandi and investigation set into motion”, said the ADGP.
