Hyderabad MP and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the Assam unit of the BJP over an AI-generated video as disgusting, alleging that its content was genocidal.
The video depicted Assam as a Muslim-majority state without the BJP and came with the message that one must choose their vote carefully. The video, which also depicts Congress MP Gourav Gogoi and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in the backdrop of a Pakistani flag, has already been criticised by several people.
Lashing out at the BJP, Owaisi wrote on his social media handle that they have no vision for development apart from spreading hate among people. “BJP Assam has posted a disgusting AI video that shows a Muslim majority Assam if there was no BJP. They are not fear-mongering just for votes, this is the repulsive Hindutva ideology in true form. The very existence of Muslims in India is a problem for them, their dream is a Muslim-mukt Bharat. Besides this constant whining, they‘ve no vision for India,” he added.
Referring to the recent directive of the Patna High Court to the Congress to take down an AI-generated video with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother, he said this video also demanded the same fate. “For everyone, their mother has the highest regard. The same principle must be followed for the Assam BJP’s disgusting video as well. It’s not only defamatory but genocidal to depict Muslim citizens as a danger, as a group that needs to be oppressed constantly,” he observed.
The video titled “Assam without BJP” alleges that there would be legalisation of beef and usurping of government land by illegal immigrants from across the border and Muslims would form 90 per cent of the state’s population.
