Over 50 candidates from Uttar Pradesh were successful in the UPSC- 2025 exams , whose final results were declared on Friday.
23-year-old Aastha Jain from Shamli, UP, secured the ninth rank while Surbhi Yadav of Amroha got 14th rank.
Aastha has already qualified the UPSC in 2024 and became an IPS officer, securing the 131st rank. She took a break from IPS training in Hyderabad to study for the civil services exam. She achieved this position through self-study.
Aastha’s family lives in Kandhla and her father runs a grocery store and mother is a housewife. The family consists of three sisters and a brother. Aastha is the second of these. Her elder sister is a doctor, while her third sister is also pursuing an MBBS. Before becoming an IPS officer, Aastha briefly attended coaching classes in Delhi. After that, she studied on her own.
Mother Mamta Jain said, “My daughter has already qualified for the UPSC twice. She secured 131st rank in her first attempt. She secured 186th rank in her second. Now, in her third attempt, she has secured 9th rank all India.”
Surabhi Yadav of Naseer Nangla village in the Naugawan Sadat police station area of Amroha has secured 14th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Surbhi’s father, Rakesh Kumar Yadav, is an inspector in the Uttar Pradesh Police. Her mother has passed away. She was living with her father in Bareilly while studying.
Despite difficult circumstances, Surabhi achieved this position through her hard work and dedication. As soon as the news of Surabhi’s IAS qualification reached her village, a wave of joy spread throughout the area.
Meanwhile, more than 50 students from Uttar Pradesh have been selected in the final UPSC results.
Kartikeya Singh from Gonda secured 269th rank, Adarsh Pandey from Lucknow secured 347th rank, and Shubham Singh Chandel from Jaunpur secured 378th rank. In the past five years, 95 students from Uttar Pradesh have become IAS officers.
