Opposition parties lambasted the Yogi Adityanath government for allegedly failing to keep its promises and trying to cover up the failure with Vision documents.
Speaking on Vision Document-2047 in the Assembly, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey said the government is discussing about 2047 while it should be telling the people how many promises have been fulfilled so far after coming to power in 2017.
He demanded that the time for discussion should be extended.
SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav said the BJP has not yet fulfilled the promise of giving employment to the youth while the farmers have not been given MSP. He sarcastically said that the government now is saying that after 22 years, the grandchildren of today’s youth would be given jobs. “What is an assurance of 2047! The government had promised a house to everyone by 2022 but it has not been fulfilled yet,” he pointed out.
He said the BJP instead of showing the dream of 2047 should face the reality of 2025.
Leader of the Congress party in UP Assembly Aradhana Mishra Mona said today, there is talk of making India developed in 2047, but we should not forget that our successes today are the result of the vision of our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
“Be it Chandrayaan or IIT and AIIMS. On Vision Document 2047, she said what is the condition of farmers in our state today. The promises made to them have not been fulfilled yet. Farmers have not been given MSP. Agricultural equipment has not been made cheaper. At the same time, they are not even able to get a sack of fertilizer,” she alleged.
The Congress leader said that the health budget of the UP government is only six percent of the total budget. There are reports of fraud in the Ayushman scheme. Unemployment is the biggest sting for the youth. The government makes a lot of noise about the schemes but is unable to complete them.
The debate on the Vision 2047 commenced in the state assembly this morning and will continue for next 24 hours.
