In a shocking incident on Valentine’s Day, a 32-year-old man allegedly shot his 26-year-old girlfriend before shooting himself inside a parked car in Sector 107, Noida, police said on Saturday.
According to Noida DCP Yamuna Prasad, Sector 49 Police was informed about an abandoned Delhi-registered car parked near pillar number 84 on the Noida–Dadri Road in Sector 107.
When a police team reached there to inspect the car, they found a man and a woman with gunshot injuries to their heads. According to the Noida DCP, the man had the gun in one hand, apparently suggesting that he killed himself after shooting his girlfriend.
“Today, on 14 February, information was received under Sector 49 Police Station jurisdiction that a Delhi-registered car was found near pillar number 84 on the Noida–Dadri Road in Sector 107, Noida. Upon receiving the information, the Sector 49 police reached the spot and inspected the car. Inside the car, a man and a woman were found with gunshot injuries to their heads. The man had a weapon in one hand,” DCP Prasad said.

Police removed bodies from the car and sent for a post-mortem after inquest proceedings. A pistol and cartridges were recovered from the scene. The deceased man and woman are said to be residents of Trilokpuri, Delhi.
Preliminary investigation suggests the man first shot the woman and then killed himself. The exact motive behind the incident is yet to be established. The bodies were yet to be identified, and necessary legal proceedings are underway.
