Odisha: Students of govt vocational higher secondary schools receive skill development tips

A five-day residential hands-on skill development training program in electronic and hardware and IT-ITeS trades was inaugurated on Monday at the World Skill Center (WSC) and Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC) for students of Government Vocational Higher Secondary Schools.

Attending the inaugural ceremony, Binita Senapati, Joint Director, Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, encouraged the students to acquire practical skills and highlighted the importance of vocational education.

In this context, Jitendra Nayak, Deputy Director, Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) explained the objective of the training. WSC Chairman T. Thambiraja also graced the event.

Similarly, at the inauguration ceremony held at CTTC Bhubaneswar, Snigdha Mishra, Joint Director, DHSE, L. Rajashekhar, Managing Director, CTTC; Satya Narayan Mishra; and Smitarekha Mohanty, Research Assistant, DHSE were among the dignitaries present.

Around 50 students and teachers are participating in the residential training at WSC, while around 90 students and teachers are taking part at CTTC. Through this program, the participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in their respective subjects
