On the occasion of Vijay Diwas, Lt General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, laid a commemorative wreath to pay homage to the gallant soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who displayed extraordinary courage during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
The Army Commander also interacted with veterans and reaffirmed the invaluable legacy of their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to the nation.
The Leh (Ladakh)-based Fire and Fury Corps commemorated Vijay Diwas with solemn reverence and patriotic fervour.
Lt General Hitesh Bhalla, GOC, Fire and Fury Corps, paid homage at the Hall of Fame Memorial, Leh, by laying a wreath in honour of the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. Senior officers, military personnel, and community members attended the event.
The GOC interacted with the veterans of the Indo-Pak War of 1971, Ex-Servicemen, Veer-Naris, Veer-Maatas, and family members.
The GOC also felicitated the youth who participated in the Bicycle Rally organised to mark the occasion.
The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps commander, on this solemn occasion, laid a wreath at Chinar War Memorial, honouring the valiant heroes of the 1971 War, and reaffirmed the Chinar Warriors’ resolve to uphold the spirit of valour, sacrifice and service to the nation.
