The Vande Bharat rail service between Bikaner and Delhi is expected to start its run soon.
The information was shared by Bikaner MP and Union Minister of State (MoS) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal on his X handle on Wednesday.
“This service would reduce the journey time between Bikaner – Delhi Cantt by almost one-and-a-half hours and also make the travel comfortable. Hence, it would give a boost to tourism, business – trade activities and the pace of industrialization too,” he said.
The Law Minister also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the gift of the new service to the people of Bikaner.
According to official sources, the new service may be launched next month. The time taken to reach Delhi Cantt from Bikaner will be almost six hours. On the way, it would have a brief stopover at Ratangarh, Churu, Loharu and Rewari stations.
This would be the third Vande Bharat Rail service in Rajasthan. Presently, two Vande Bharat trains run between Ajmer – Delhi and Jodhpur – Sabarmati (Ahmedabad).
The state is also waiting for the launch of another Vande Bharat service between Jaipur and Jodhpur.
