A shocking incident has come to light from a government school in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, where a Muslim teacher allegedly forced Hindu students to study Urdu and even beat them when they refused to do it. The matter gained attention after a video of the incident went viral on social media, leading to quick action by the education department.
The incident took place at the Government Composite School in Harbanshpur Dharm, under the Kotwali Dehat block. The teacher, Mohammad Salauddin, was reportedly teaching Urdu to Hindu students. When they resisted, he allegedly beat them and threatened them to stay silent. Out of fear, the students didn’t tell their parents initially.
The issue only came to light after the video of Salauddin’s behavior surfaced online. This led to strong reactions from parents and locals, who demanded action. The Basic Education Department soon launched an official investigation.
After receiving a complaint, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) Yogendra Kumar asked the Assistant Basic Shiksha Adhikari to carry out an inquiry. The investigation confirmed that Salauddin had been forcing students to study Urdu against their will. As a result, the BSA suspended him right away while further disciplinary action is being considered.
A full departmental probe is now underway to check if there were other violations. Officials have promised strict action against anyone found guilty of harassing students or breaking education rules.
This incident has caused anger in the local community, with people accusing the teacher of religious pressure. Hindu groups and political leaders have demanded a full investigation, saying that no student should be forced to learn any subject against their choice.
Education officials also reminded that the syllabus must follow government rules, and no teacher can impose personal choices on students.
