The Public Relations department of Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) received three national awards instituted by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) at the hands of speaker of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Ritu Khanduri Bhushan in presence of former Chief Minister and former Union Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank. These awards include Best Social Media and PR, Best Film (English) and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee National awareness Special Award.
The Public Relations officer (PRO) of MSETCL Dr Milind Awatade accepted the honor on behalf of the company. The Chairman and Managing Director of MSETCL Dr Sanjeev Kumar (IAS) appreciated the efforts taken by the PR department and congratulated for its achievement.
The awards were bestowed upon at the 47th Indian Public Relations conference organized at Hotel Emerald in Dehradun city of Uttarakhand. National president of PRSI Dr Ajit Pathak, Secretary Dr P L K Murthy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GAIL India Limited Mr Sandeep Gupta, Padmshri Dr B V K Sanjay and other dignitaries also graced the occasion.
Commendable job by the PR Department: Dr Sanjeev Kumar
Chairman and Managing Director of MSETCL Dr Sanjeev Kumar (IAS) credited the success to the Public Relations department and its team work. The Public Relations department of MSETCL had bagged the maximum number of 14 national awards and one International honor and stood first. Dr Sanjeev Kumar said that the PR department had been keenly observing the continuous changes, innovation and creativity in the field of mass media and accordingly making timely changes. This positive attitude is behind the success, he added. Chief Minister and energy minister Devendra Fadnavis, minister of state for energy Mrs Meghna Bordikar Sakore, additional chief secretary (energy) Mrs Abha Shukla also congratulated and extended good wishes to the company.
