Madhya Pradesh has received a national award under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in the category of ‘Best Performing Large State – Highest Pre-Authorizations with Biometric Authentication’.
Expressing happiness on the achievement, Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Rajendra Shukla said on Monday that the award recognizes the State’s effective, transparent, and successful implementation of the biometric-based pre-authorization process under the scheme.
Shukla said the award corroborates the state government’s commitment to transparency in healthcare services, technology-driven good governance, and citizen-centric welfare.
Shukla said, congratulating the entire team of Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Madhya Pradesh, district officials, hospitals, and all officers and employees associated with the scheme, that continuous efforts are being made to make healthcare services in the State more effective, transparent and citizen-centric.
The award was presented to Chief Executive Officer of Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Madhya Pradesh, Arvind Shah, by Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Punya Salila Srivastava, during the National Review Meeting (Chintan Shivir) organised by the National Health Authority (NHA) at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi.
