Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said on Thursday that farmers are our “annadata” and the government stands firmly with them as their support and shield in every difficulty.
The CM stated that farmers are the foundation of our culture, our heritage, and the true drivers of the state’s economy.
“Bringing prosperity to farmers’ lives, fields and homes is the government’s sole objective”, the CM asserted.
The CM was addressing the Annadata Samman Ceremony held at Malhargarh in the Mandsaur district of the state.
He noted that the prosperity of the state lies in the prosperity of farmers. He said, “The Soybean Bhavantar Payment Scheme is a sincere effort to bring economic stability to farmers’ lives and is a recognition of their hard penance, discipline, and dedication.”
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav transferred an amount of Rs 200 crore as the fourth instalment of Bhavantar assistance to 1.17 lakh farmers of the state, during the Soybean Bhavantar Payment event.
The amount was directly credited to the bank accounts of farmers who sold soybeans between December 20, 2025, and the conclusion of the scheme.
State government officials said that a total of Rs 1492 crore has been transferred to 7.10 lakh farmers under the ‘Bhavantar Yojana’ in the state so far.
Chief Minister Dr Yadav also dedicated development works worth Rs 69.50 crore to Malhargarh in Mandsaur district.
These include Bhoomi-pujan of the Malhargarh four-lane flyover located on the Mandsaur–Neemuch State Highway, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 51.91 crore and Bhoomi-pujan of the Pipliya Mandi level-crossing railway underbridge at a cost of Rs 5.53 crore, and inauguration of a bridge construction project on Malhargarh Railway Station Road at a cost of Rs 2.06 crore.
