Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said on Friday that the country’s administrative officers played a crucial role in transforming the rule of kings into democracy.

He pointed out that after India’s independence, the administrative system was established as a result of the efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The chief minister was addressing IAS officers of MP at the inauguration of the ‘IAS Service Meet’ at the State Academy of Administration at Bhopal.

On the occasion, Dr Yadav stated that Swami Vivekananda envisioned that the 21st century would belong to India, and under the effective leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this dream of Vivekananda is coming true. Today, every country in the world aspires for friendship with India, and the country is now capable of facing every challenge and situation.

He emphasized that it is because of the role of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers that India stands strong before the world today. “Our administrative officers are working tirelessly to advance the country, facing every challenge. Amidst India’s diverse landscape, the administrative service is fulfilling its responsibilities with strength and commitment,” the CM said.

The CM noted that our country’s constitutional system is federal, and the state’s officials have, through coordination with the Central and state governments, improved the state’s image.

“Madhya Pradesh is like a laboratory, where innovations are continuously taking place in many areas, many of which are being emulated nationally and internationally”, the CM stated.

He said PM Modi recognizes the importance of competence and experience, and as a result, the governance system is benefiting from the experience of many officers even after their service. All administrative officers of the state deserve respect, and it is a matter of joy that all the officers, like a family, pave the way to overcome every difficulty.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav said our experienced senior officers and their energetic young colleagues in the state are the foundation of a developed and self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. This is the time to formulate policies and implement schemes, as well as to understand innovation, adopt technology and think from a citizen’s perspective.

“We are fortunate to get an opportunity to serve. The IAService officers have earned this privilege through their hard work. In our culture, service to mankind is considered service to God, hence solving the problems of the common man, listening to their grievances, and providing meaningful solutions should be a top priority,” Dr Yadav emphasized.

He urged all IAS officers to pledge to work with 100% commitment for the development of the state.
