Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Monday visited and offered prayers at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Kaal Bhairav Temple. During his visit, he also tasted the famous Malaiyo, a traditional sweet sold on the streets of Kashi.
Dr Yadav said that one attains the opportunity to visit Kashi only after many lifetimes of virtuous deeds. “I come from the city of Baba Mahakal, so I understand its spiritual importance. I pray that Baba’s blessings continue to remain upon the state and the nation,” he said.
He further stated that the present time is one of progress and development. Dr Yadav congratulated Nitin Nabin, a minister in the Bihar government and National Executive President, on his election as the BJP Working President.
Describing him as young and experienced in organisational matters, he said, “We wish him success in providing efficient leadership. On behalf of millions of BJP workers, we extend our best wishes to him.”
The Chief Minister also said that the country is firmly on the path of development. After completing the darshan and puja, he spent some time walking through the streets of Kashi, where locals welcomed him with chants of “Har Har Mahadev.”
