Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Saturday expressed confidence that a grand temple of Lord Krishna would be built at Mathura, like the Ram Temple constructed at Ayodhya.

The CM was referring to the Krishna Janmabhoomi–Shahi Idgah dispute in Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing an event of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) legal cell in Indore, the CM also accused the previous Union Congress governments of depriving Muslim women of their legitimate rights under the party’s vote bank appeasement policy.

Referring to the well-known Shah Bano case, Dr Yadav targeted the then Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi. “The Congress and Rajiv Gandhi committed the sin of injustice against Muslim sisters who were fighting for their legitimate rights”, Dr Yadav averred.

Praising legal reforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the CM said India’s laws ensure justice with open eyes and that Madhya Pradesh was moving at the fastest pace towards implementing the three new criminal codes.

Yadav highlighted state government measures on regulating loudspeakers at religious places and banning the open sale of meat.

“More than 60,000 loudspeakers have been removed in the state as per rules. You can worship in your own religious way; there is no restriction, but everyone has to follow the law. Law is equal for all”, he noted.

He also referred to the peaceful construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya following the Supreme Court’s judgment, and expressed hope over the Krishna Janmabhoomi–Shahi Idgah dispute in Mathura.

“Certainly, in a lawful manner, Krishna Kanhaiya will also smile before our eyes, and joy will prevail in Mathura”, Dr Yadav stated.
