Madhya Pradesh BJP President Hemant Khandelwal, terming Rahul Gandhi’s claims of “vote theft” “irresponsible”, hinted that the leader of the Opposition might be “mentally ill”.
Speaking to media persons here, Khandelwal asked how a person holding such a responsible post could make such irresponsible statements. He averred that Rahul Gandhi’s claims of vote theft are baseless and false.
Khandelwal said that the entire Congress should be worried and its leaders must speak to Rahul Gandhi, as it is a matter of concern for the entire family if one member is mentally ill. “If anyone in the family faces any problem, if someone is mentally ill, then the entire family should be worried about it.”
On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi presented the data of an assembly constituency, Mahadevpura in Karnataka, and alleged that this model of ‘vote theft’ has been implemented in many constituencies by manipulating the voter list, so that the BJP can get benefit. He claimed that all this is happening with the connivance of the BJP and the Election Commission of India (ECI) and called it a crime against the Constitution.
He presented the data of the voter list of Mahadevapura assembly constituency of Karnataka and claimed rigging.
