The Monsoon Session of the sixth Jharkhand Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin on 1 August and will continue till 7 August, as per the provisional itinerary released by the Assembly Secretariat.

The session will commence with an oath or affirmation by members, if any, followed by the tabling of authenticated messages from the Governor concerning vacancies in the House. Obituary references, where applicable, may also be taken up on the opening day.

The Assembly will remain in recess over the weekend, on 2 and 3 August (Saturday and Sunday), before reconvening on 4 August for regular proceedings.

The government is expected to present the first supplementary budget for the financial year 2025–26 on 4 August, which will be followed by general discussion, voting, and passage of the related appropriation bill on the subsequent day.

The latter half of the session — 6 and 7 August — has been earmarked for the introduction and consideration of government bills and other legislative business. The final day may also see the House take up matters brought forward by non-official members, including private members’ resolutions.

The session, though short, is expected to transact key financial and legislative business ahead of the festive and electoral calendar.
