The prime minister hoped of an unexpected victory for the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections attributing it to CM Yogi's commitment to good governance and development.
Ramdev had on Sunday suggested that to control population, the voting right of the third child should be taken away.
A day after Baba Ramdev triggered a controversy with his third child remark, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi took a jibe at the Yoga guru while invoking Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ramdev had on Sunday suggested that to control population, the voting right of the third child should be taken away.
In his sarcastic remark on Monday, Owaisi, the MP from Hyderabad, said that PM Modi should not lose his right to vote just because he is the third child of his parents.

“There is no law preventing people from saying downright unconstitutiona things, but why do Ramdev’s ideas receive undue attention? [sic]” Owaisi tweeted.
“That he can do a thing with his stomach or move about his legs shouldn’t mean @narendramodi lose his right to vote just because he’s the 3rd kid,” Owaisi added.
He was apparently referring to the fact that Narendra Modi is the third of the six children born to Damodardas Mulchand Modi and Hiraben Modi.
Ramdev had on Sunday expressed concerns about the rising population of the country, which by various estimates stands at 130 crores.
“Our population shouldn’t cross 150 crore in next 50 yrs. We aren’t prepared to have a population more than that. It can be possible only when a law is made that the third child won’t have voting rights, right to contest elections and facilities by the government,” he said.
