Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday praised an article written by Aleksandar Vučić, describing it as a thoughtful reflection on artificial intelligence and a testament to the growing warmth in India–Serbia relations.
In a post on X, Modi described the piece as “a fine article,” noting that President Vučić discussed artificial intelligence while expressing admiration for India’s rapid progress in the field and the strong bilateral partnership between the two nations.
President Vučić’s article reportedly emphasises the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on global economies and governance. He highlighted India’s advancements in digital infrastructure, innovation ecosystems, and AI-driven solutions, which position the country as a major global technology leader.
The Serbian President also stressed the importance of ethical AI development, international cooperation, and knowledge-sharing. He cited India’s vast talent pool, vibrant startup ecosystem, and government-led digital initiatives as strong examples of how emerging technologies can be leveraged to drive inclusive growth.
Modi’s public praise signals the continued strengthening of India–Serbia ties, which have traditionally spanned defence, trade, culture, and multilateral cooperation. In recent years, the partnership has expanded to include technology, innovation, and digital transformation, with both countries keen to enhance collaboration in IT services, research and development, and startup exchanges.
As nations worldwide compete for leadership in AI innovation and regulation, India’s robust digital ecosystem and Serbia’s innovation-driven approach offer significant opportunities for deeper cooperation. Modi’s remarks are expected to further energise bilateral engagement, placing technology and innovation at the centre of future collaboration.
