With an aim to foster a sense of pride and national unity among the youngsters, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) organised a four-day tour to the national capital for 100 students and teachers from Mizoram.
“This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to engaging youth from border areas, providing them with valuable insights into the nation’s rich heritage, developmental strides, and governance, fostering a sense of pride and national unity,” said an official release issued by the Border Security Force (BSF) here.
The tour, which began on September 4, was organized under the aegis of the MHA.
During the concluding session of “The Bharat Darshan Tour 2025”, hosted at the BSF Nizamuddin facility in New Delhi, the organising team of the force welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed gratitude to Nityanand Rai, Minister of State (Home), for gracing the occasion.
Rai, who interacted with the young participants and their teachers, commended the efforts of the BSF in creating such impactful initiatives for youth.
The minister emphasized that programs like these play a vital role in promoting unity and cultural understanding across the nation.
He also appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and shared his hope that this experience would inspire them to become ambassadors of India’s diverse cultural heritage.
The students shared heartfelt accounts of their journey, expressing gratitude to the Central Government, the MHA, and the BSF for providing them with this unique opportunity.
The young participants also showcased their cultural talents through performances that added vibrancy to the concluding session.
While in the city, they visited some of India’s most iconic sites, including India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sansad Bhawan, the National War Memorial, Police Memorial, Rail Museum, Air Force Museum, Qutub Minar, Rajghat, Red Fort, Nehru Planetarium, and the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya — gaining first-hand experience of the country’s historical and cultural grandeur.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to engaging youth from border areas, providing them with valuable insights into the nation’s rich heritage, developmental strides, and governance, fostering a sense of pride and national unity, it added.
