A temple dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 19 crore in Meerut.

The temple will have 100-foot statue of PM Modi.

JP Singh, an assistant engineer of irrigation department, shortly after his retirement announced to construct a temple of PM Modi for which the land has been identified and funds are being arranged.

While talking to media, Singh said, the PM Modi temple will be constructed along the Meerut-Karnal highway in Sardhana area of the district and added, the foundation stone of the temple will be laid on 23 October.

Singh said that he is inspired by the PM Modi like millions of other people across the world.

Singh wants to complete the temple in two-years. The money for the construction of the temple will be raised through donations.

For this, a ‘trust’ is being formed, which would be registered by Thursday. Singh said Modi’s metal statue will be made where the statue of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel is being constructed.

“Sardar is ideal of Modi ji and Modi ji is our ideal, therefore his statue should also be made at the same place,” Singh said.
