Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 Metro Station renamed ‘Shree Ram Mandir Mayur Vihar’

The Delhi Metro’s Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 Metro Station on the Pink Line has been officially renamed ‘Shree Ram Mandir Mayur Vihar’, an official said on Saturday.

“The Mayur Vihar Pocket 1 Metro Station in East Delhi has been renamed as Shree Ram Mandir Mayur Vihar,” the official said, adding that the decision was taken by the State Names Authority (SNA) Committee.

The station falls on the Shiv Vihar–Majlis Park corridor of the Delhi Metro’s Pink Line.

Currently, the Delhi Metro facilitates an average of around 65 lakh passenger journeys daily. At present, it operates 12 lines spanning nearly 395 kilometres, covering 289 stations across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
