Man arrested from Punjab for making life threats to Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan

Gorakhpur police have arrested a man for allegedly abusing and threatening to kill BJP MP and actor Ravi Kishan over the phone. The accused was a resident of the Ludhiana district of Punjab.

The accused has been identified as Ajay Kumar Yadav, son of Rampher Yadav, a resident of Ludhiana district of Punjab.
Police brought him to Gorakhpur after taking his transit remand and have lodged him in jail.

According to a police report on Tuesday, a few days ago, the accused called Ravi Kishan on his mobile phone, used abusive language, and issued a life threat. Following the incident, the MP has filed a formal complaint.

Using technical surveillance and mobile location tracking, the police traced the accused to Ludhiana and arrested him. The mobile phone used for the threats was also recovered from his possession.

During interrogation, Ajay confessed to the crime and claimed that he was drunk when he threatened the actor. Police are now investigating whether he acted out of personal enmity or at the instigation of someone else. Further details are awaited.
