Maharashtra: 20 injured as bus turns turtle on Mumbai-Goa Highway

A bus of the Maharashtra state transport turned turtle, leaving at least 20 passengers injured at Mangaon on Mumbai-Goa Highway on Saturday, police said.

According to the official, the accident occurred in the early hours, when the ST bus, carrying 44 passengers, was heading towards Dapoli.

The driver lost control of the bus, while crossing a bridge near Kamalje village causing the vehicle to hit a barricade and turn turtle, official said.

At least 20 passengers were injured in the incident and were given preliminary treatment, he added.
