Madhya Pradesh, known for its rich, religious, and spiritual culture, will be the partner state in the International Gita Mohotsav (IGM) this time, announced Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday.
The International Gita Mohotsav’s dignity and pride will increase manifold by having such a culturally traditional state as its partner, said Singh.
Madhya Pradesh is also constructing a cultural pavilion at Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra, Haryana.
“Madhya Pradesh is also constructing a cultural pavilion at Brahma Sarovar. I’m happy that here we will get to know the culture of the state,” he said.
From November 15 to December 5, 2025, the 10th International Gita Mahotsav will take place in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The major events are planned between November 24 and December 1. These include scholarly seminars, cultural programmes, a handicrafts fair, and the ‘Gita Run’. Earlier, an International Gita Mahotsav was held in Bali, Indonesia, on September 13–14, 2025.
Since 1989, the Government of Haryana has been celebrating the Gita Mahotsav in collaboration with the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) in the city of Kurukshetra. The prime objective of celebrating the festival is to enlighten the people with the knowledge of the immortal and intangible heritage of the Bhagavad Gita – the song celestial.
