Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and even Bengal’s presiding deity Maa Durga cannot predict the outcome of the 2026 Assembly elections in West Bengal.
When asked about the possible result of the West Bengal elections 2026, Ganguly told reporters on Friday, “How can I answer such a question? Only on Monday, when the ballot box opens, we will all know the answer.”
Emphasising the sheer unpredictability of the elections, Ganguly said that even “Mamata didi”, “Modiji” and Maa Durga cannot predict the results.
