Luck can strike when you least expect it. This turned out to be true for Amit Sehara, a resident of Rajasthan, whose casual decision to buy lottery tickets during his visit to Punjab changed his life forever.
During his short stay in Bathinda, Sehara decided to try his luck by purchasing two Diwali Bumper lottery tickets – one for himself and another for his wife.
Little did he know this random ‘lets try my luck’ move would make him Rs 11 crore richer.
When the results were announced, Amit’s wife won Rs 1,000 and but it was his ticket that changed his and his family’s life forever. He won the bumber prize of Rs 11 crore.
“I can’t express my happiness,” an overwhelmed Amit said while speaking to ANI. “All my grief and sorrows have vanished today. I have won Rs 11 crore.”
He thanked the Government of Punjab and the lottery agency after wining the jackpot.
“I will use this money for my children’s education and to build a house.”
Shiv Kumar, an official from the Chandigarh Lottery Directorate, said that they had releases Bumper Diwali Lottery worth Rs 11 crore.
Kumar also confirmed Amit Sehara has submitted his claim for the Rs 11 crore bumper prize. He further explained that the claim process is simple. “You just need to provide your personal and bank details along with the original ticket. Without the ticket, the claim cannot be validated.”
