A kindergarten student and a teacher were killed when a school van met with an accident in this Uttar Pradesh district Friday morning.
Police here said 13 people, mostly children, were injured in the accident, which took place near Agapur under the Gajraula police station.
The school van of International Public School, Sahasauli, was on its way to school with 16 people onboard, including children and teachers, when it collided head-on with a pickup van.
Police said the school vehicle was overloaded and was running at a high speed when it hit the pickup van.
The deceased were identified as Ananya (5) and teacher Nisha (22). Both of the deceased were natives of the Hasanpur area.
