Allahabad HC scraps UP Madarsa Education Board declaring it unconstitutional
The court ordered the state government to enroll the students studying in the madrassas in other schools.
Allahabad High Court has granted bail to Kerala-based journalist Siddique Kappan after 26 months in jail.
He was arrested in October 2020 by the UP Police on his way to report the Hathras gang-rape case.
He was granted bail in a case lodged by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money. Laundering Act, 2002.

Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh of Lucknow bench of the high court granted the bail on Friday.
Earlier on October 31, District court of Lucknow had rejected his bail after chargesheet against Kappan and 6 others were framed by the court on December 8.
