Snowfall disrupts traffic in Finland’s capital Helsinki
Freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall struck Finland's capital Helsinki, disrupting commuter traffic, tram operations, and flight schedules.
Kedarnath received first snowfall of the season on Saturday. The weather of the area had begun to change on Saturday afternoon when it started snowing for a brief period. On Sunday, Kedarnath got draped in a thin white blanket.
The temperature of Kedarnath has dropped from 12 degree Celsius to 6 degree C. Despite challenging conditions, the reconstruction team is engaged in redevelopment work in the holy township.
New Uttarakhand Chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh undertook the 8 km trek from Kedarnath to Bheembali on Saturday. The CS inspected the reconstruction work done in the flash-flood affected area and other works to be done there.
