The complainant alleged that the duo stabbed her brother, Liyaqat Ali, with a sharp-edged weapon and fled the spot, the police said.

Special teams headed by Inspector Amit Sangra raided different locations and arrested the duo near Sukrala area here, the police added.

As per The Indian Express news report, Abhishek had asked his brother-in-law’s help to settle a dispute between him and his neighbour Ali.

In a CCTV footage, it can be seen that the accused are arriving in the neighbourhood. After spotting them, Ali can be seen running, and the accused giving him a chase, before stabbing him. A gorup of people, including women, from the neighbourhood can also be seen running after the fleeing accused but are not able to catch them, added The Indian Express news report.

Tension has again gripped the area after the incident as Kathua is already divided over the rape and murder of a minor girl recently. With people coming out in support of the accused in the rape case and forming Hindu Ekta Manch, and demanding a CBI probe into the incident.
