The inauguration of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham will mark four years on Saturday.
On Friday, Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust Council, stated that in these four years, the Dham has established many new dimensions in religious, spiritual, cultural, educational, and pilgrim facilities, easy darshan, and security.
The number of devotees exceeded 62.3 million in 2024, and this number has already surpassed 66.6 million in 2025. In the four years since December 13, 2021, over 260 million domestic and foreign devotees have visited Baba’s court.
Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the flag-bearer of Sanatan traditions, has introduced several innovations since 2024 to elevate its divinity to new heights.
Continuous innovations over the past two years have not only enhanced the experience for devotees but also led to an unprecedented increase in the number of visitors, which is providing new impetus to the tourism industry and strengthening the local economy.
The Temple Trust has initiated the provision of meals from the Annakshetra, operated by the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, for attendants staying at the district’s cancer hospital and district hospitals, and for students from the district’s Sanskrit schools.
A new entry route for Kashi residents was operational for the first time in July 2024. Under this, special arrangements have been made for all Kashi residents to have darshan between 4 am and 5 am and 4 pm, upon presenting their local identity card.
Under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, introduced in September 2024, visitors living abroad can easily deposit their donations directly into the Temple Trust’s account.
