Kapil Dev, captain of India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning team and a renowned all-rounder, paid a courtesy call to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav at his residence in Bhopal on Monday evening.
Dr Mohan Yadav briefed the cricket legend about the sports landscape of Madhya Pradesh.
Kapil Dev acknowledged the commendable work Madhya Pradesh is doing to promote cricket and other sports, and he expressed his desire to extend all possible support for the development of sports and sportspersons in the state.
He said developing other sports is as important as cricket, adding that he is always willing to provide guidance for nurturing cricketing talent in Madhya Pradesh.
