Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday outlined his government’s vision for inclusive, sustainable and investment-led development while addressing the valedictory session of the two-day National Stakeholder Consultation in New Delhi.
Addressing policymakers, industry leaders, investors, technology experts, tourism stakeholders and development partners, Soren reaffirmed his government’s commitment to positioning Jharkhand as a leading destination for innovation, enterprise and responsible investment.
Stating that Jharkhand’s identity extends beyond its rich mineral resources, he emphasised that the state is committed to its vision of “Mines to Minds” by harnessing knowledge, innovation, technology and human capital as the drivers of its next phase of growth.
The CM remarked that Jharkhand is not merely introducing new policies but also opening new avenues of opportunity, investment and sustainable development.
During the consultation, the Jharkhand government signed 14 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 99,000 crore across key sectors to strengthen strategic partnerships and accelerate the State’s economic growth. Of these, the Department of Industries signed 10, the Department of Information Technology signed two, and the Department of Tourism signed two.
The agreements span sectors including tourism, digital governance, artificial intelligence (AI), manufacturing, infrastructure and technology.
Describing the MoUs as milestones rather than mere agreements, the CM said they reflect the industry’s confidence in Jharkhand’s growth potential and lay a strong foundation for the state’s future.
He directed officials to ensure the timely implementation of projects and reiterated the government’s focus on long-term partnerships that deliver tangible outcomes.
Soren also emphasised that the state’s tribal heritage, natural resources and youthful population are its greatest strengths, and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society, particularly tribal communities, through inclusive and equitable growth.
Stressing the importance of continuous engagement with investors and stakeholders, he said the government is determined to showcase Jharkhand’s immense potential on both national and global platforms.
Soren expressed gratitude to all the industry representatives, investors, experts and development partners for their valuable participation, and invited them to become partners in Jharkhand’s growth journey.
He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to build a progressive, sustainable and globally competitive state driven by innovation, investment and inclusive development.
