Jharkhand officials meet JICA, JETRO, NEC representatives in Delhi on investment and industrial cooperation

Jharkhand Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal and Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) Managing Director Varun Ranjan held separate meetings with representatives of JICA, JETRO, and NEC Corporation in Delhi to discuss investment, industrial development, and technology collaboration.

The meetings were held under the directive of Chief Minister Hemant Soren to review potential partnerships with international agencies for industrial growth, health infrastructure, and skill training in the state.

In a meeting with Aditi Puri, Senior Development Specialist at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Jharkhand delegation presented current projects and sought collaboration. JICA reviewed the proposals and discussed possible areas for cooperation.

The delegation also met Suzuki Takashi, Chief Director General of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), who conveyed readiness to support investor engagement between Japanese firms and Jharkhand. Both sides agreed to conduct outreach events to identify new investment areas.

At Jharkhand Bhawan, NEC Corporation’s Corporate Strategy representative Ryohei Aiba discussed cooperation in information technology, digital systems for rare earth mineral extraction, and the creation of a Japanese language academy in the state. NEC conveyed interest in participating in digital infrastructure projects and skill initiatives.

The meetings focused on identifying clear areas of cooperation and outlining steps for joint activities between Jharkhand and Japanese institutions.
