Himachal Pradesh Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau on Tuesday laid a successful trap and arrested a GST inspector while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 in his office in Una.
According to an official, the accused Anshul Dhiman had initially demanded Rs 1,25,000 from the complainant. Out of this, Rs 50,000 was accepted at the time of the trap.
The operation was carried out by a team of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau following a complaint, he added.
Further investigation is underway, he stated.
