A major milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s rapidly expanding infrastructure network under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to be achieved on Monday.

Commercial flight operations from the state’s ambitious Noida International Airport (Jewar) will formally commence on June 15. IndiGo Airlines, the launch carrier, will operate the inaugural flights.

According to the schedule released, the first inaugural flight, 6E-2278, will depart from Lucknow at 7:05 a.m. and arrive at Noida International Airport at 8:05 a.m. The same aircraft will then depart from Noida at 8:35 a.m. for Bengaluru and arrive there at 11:05 a.m.

On the return journey, flight 6E-2279 will leave Bengaluru at 3:45 p.m., arrive in Noida at 6:20 p.m., and depart from Noida at 6:55 p.m. for Lucknow, reaching the state capital at 8:00 p.m.

Developed in line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Noida International Airport is poised to emerge as a major aviation and logistics hub for Western Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi-NCR region, and neighbouring states. IndiGo has announced plans to connect the airport with more than 16 major cities across the country in a phased manner.

Jewar Airport is being viewed not merely as an airport but as a symbol of Uttar Pradesh’s evolving economic and industrial landscape. Alongside expressways, metro networks, the Defence Corridor, data centres, and industrial investments, the project represents a key component of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s infrastructure-led development model.

The airport is expected to play a pivotal role in establishing Uttar Pradesh as a leading aviation, trade, and logistics hub in the country.
