Powerful IEDs recovered near LoC ahead of polling for Udhampur seat
Reports said that the IEDs were recovered near the Line of Control (LoC) in a joint search operation by the Rashtriya Rifles of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police.
The Pakistani Army on Thursday resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.
It used mortars, automatics and small arms to target the Indian positions in Krishna Ghati sector, Defence Ministry sources said.
“The firing started at 10.35 a.m. India retaliated strongly and effectively. No casualty or damage has been reported from our side,” the sources said.
