The MP Congress has been crying hoarse for a long time about the company, alleging that it is involved in illegal mining and has links to MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The raids occurred just a day after MP State Assembly leader of opposition Mr Ajay Singh, during his speech at a public meeting in Gwalior, accused the company of carrying out illegal mining operations in the state.
Besides, Mr Singh linked the company to Mr Chouhan. According to reports, I-T sleuths conducted raids at Kolkata, Rajasthan, Haryana, Mumbai and Gwalior simultaneously today.
