Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday launched a scathing attack against the BJP over the issue of alleged embezzlement of donations at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, saying that Hindus will not spare anyone who dares to loot temples using Hindutva.
Kicking off his ‘Ram Raksha Andolan’ protest against the alleged donation theft at Ram Temple, Thackeray said that it is unfortunate that “people looting Hindus are in power.”
Taking a jibe at the BJP over its slogans of “Ayodhya to bas jhanki hai, Kashi-Mathura baki hai”, the UBT Sena chief said that he was “worried about the loot there”.
Thackeray, accompanied by his son Aditya Thackeray and loyalist Sanjay Raut, also addressed a rally outside the Hanuman Temple in Mumbai’s Dadar area.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader also recited Hanuman Chalisa, while demanding a thorough investigation into the alleged donation theft.
Those involved in Ram Temple theft are “BJP’s Mohammed Ghaznavi”: Sanjay Raut
Ahead of the protest, UBT Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that the movement will spread across Maharashtra and we will also go outside the state.
Raut claimed that the ornaments of Lord Ram and Mother Sita have been stolen from the Ayodhya temple.
“Mother Sita’s mangalsutra has also been stolen. I want to tell you that devotees had offered a gold mangalsutra to Mother Sita. Even the golden Ramcharitmanas has been stolen. Earrings, bangles, and all other ornaments of Lord Shri Ram have also been stolen,” he claimed.
Raut alleged that those involved in the alleged donation theft are “BJP’s ‘Mohammed Ghaznavi’.”
“Those who committed the theft are also from the Bharatiya Janata Party itself. They are all BJP’s ‘Mohammed Ghaznavi’,” he added.
