Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, hailing Mumbai Special NIA Court’s verdict acquitting all Malegaon blast case accused, said it has established the truth that Hindus can never turn terrorists.

In his reaction to the court’s verdict, Sharma quoted Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that Hindus can never turn terrorists and the tenet of Hindu religion is vested in the philosophy of “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam”, and not in the path of violence.

The acquittal of all seven accused in the case, including Sadhvi Pragya Singh, by the Mumbai court in a historic verdict reflects on the fair and impartial character of our judiciary and the justice delivery system, the chief minister noted. “It also re-established (revalidated) the truth about the Hindu religion (as narrated by HM Shah).”

In this context, he slammed Congress for coining an objectionable phrase, “Hindu Terror”, as a tool for its appeasement politics.
