‘Hindi Pakhwada’ concludes with competitions, poetry, and cultural celebrations

The concluding ceremony of the Hindi Pakhwada and Prize Distribution Programme was held recently at the Directorate General of Defence Estates, Ministry of Defence.

All officers and staff were urged to make maximum use of Hindi in official work. At the same time, the Directorate General reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening its dedication to the use of Hindi as the Official Language in the future, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defence.

Addressing the gathering, Ashutosh Agnihotri, Chairman and Managing Director of the Food Corporation of India, said that Hindi is the foundation of national life. “It is not only a language of communication, but also a symbol of our cultural heritage and unity,” he added.

Presiding over the event, Director General Defence Estates Shailendra Nath appreciated the efforts being made to promote Hindi in the Defence Estates Organisation.

He also highlighted the creative and innovative activities undertaken during the fortnight, organized by the Directorate General in collaboration with the National Institute of Defence Estates Management (NIDEM), the Defence Estates Office (DEO) Delhi Division, and the Cantonment Council Delhi.

Young poet and lyricist Ramayan Dharti Bedi recited her inspirational poems at the function. Various competitions including essay writing, poetry writing, debates, quizzes, and more were held as part of the Hindi Pakhwada, and winners were felicitated with mementos and certificates.
