In a retort Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar, who had predict a split of Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav called him a “rumour minister,” whose job it is to spread rumours.
Akhilesh’s remark heated up UP politics. It is believed that he indirectly targeted the government and its allies.Rajbhar claimed yesterday that there would be a major split in the Samajwadi Party. He said, “Forget Maharashtra and West Bengal, many SP members are ready to join the BJP.”
The SP also reacted to Rajbhar’s statement, saying that his habit is only to talk nonsense.
It’s worth noting that Rajbhar’s statement comes at a time when political activity has intensified in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 assembly elections.
