Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the State Cabinet has decided to convene the next session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on August 22. The duration of the session will be decided by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC).
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, the chief minister shared details of several key decisions taken by the Cabinet.
Saini emphasized that over the past 11 years, both the Central and state governments, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have consistently implemented welfare schemes aimed at uplifting the poor.
He affirmed the government’s commitment to empowering the underprivileged, unlike previous Congress-led governments which, he alleged, designed schemes benefiting primarily the affluent.
Reiterating the government’s zero-tolerance policy towards crime, the chief minister said police officers have been instructed to take swift and appropriate action on the spot to deal effectively with criminal elements.
He accused the Opposition of being focused solely on propaganda. While they constantly criticize the situation in Haryana, remain silent on challenges faced by Congress-ruled states such as Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana.
He dismissed the Congress party’s election manifestos as mere “poll gimmicks,” asserting that the BJP government is committed to fulfilling its promises. He added that the present administration is executing development work at three times the previous pace, with complete impartiality and without regional bias.
The chief minister informed that an action plan is being finalized for the implementation of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, and that a dedicated portal for the scheme will be launched shortly.
Highlighting the government’s support to the farming community, the chief minister said that Prime Minister Modi has taken several historic decisions in farmers’ interest. He noted that the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi will be released on August 2, with funds directly transferred to the bank accounts of lakhs of farmers.
