India on Saturday said Pakistan should hand over to the Indian authorities terrorists like Dawood Ibrahim and Sayeed Salahudeen who have taken shelter in the neighbouring country if it was sincere about combating terrorism.

Sources in New Delhi noted that these terrorists were wanted in India for various crimes they have committed on the Indian soil.

This comes days after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj asked Pakistan to hand over JeM chief Masood Azhar to India if it was serious about tackling terrorism.

The JeM, which has carried out a series of terror attacks in India over the years, had also claimed responsibility for the Pulwama attack. Sources said Pakistan had failed to take any credible action against JeM and other terror groups even after the Pulwama attack.

Referring to the actions against terror by Pakistan, such as holding certain terrorists in preventive custody, sources said India considered them as ‘cosmetic’.
