A 57-year-old woman, who worked as a domestic help, was killed after allegedly being run over by a Mahindra Thar SUV while sleeping in the parking lot of a Gurugram residential society.
The SUV was being driven by a woman who lives in the same society. After realising that she had run over the domestic worker, the SUV driver reportedly took her to a nearby hospital for treatment.
However, after the doctors declared her brought dead, the driver reportedly returned to the spot, dropped her body there, and drove away.
The alleged incident took place at Ansal Versalia Society in Sector 67 of Gurugram.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Guddi, a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba.
Police said that Guddi worked at the society as a domestic help and was sleeping in the parking lot on the ground floor when the accused reversed her SUV and ran over her.
The police reached the spot after being alerted about the incident. The body was sent for a post-mortem while the woman driver is being questioned.
The police are also examining the CCTV footage of the society as part of the investigation.
Meanwhile, family members of the victim alleged that the woman driver didn’t inform them or the residents of the society about the incident.
They staged a protest outside the driver’s residence, accusing her of concealing the facts about the incident.
